  I was so excited to buy these $264 boots. I spent 10 minutes in the store quickly trying them on and paying for them, I had them picked out since last year. Unfortunately, when I got home, under certain lighting, a manufacturer's defect became apparent. Some fibres on the suede are visibly longer, grey, and weaker than the rest of the boot and only on one boot. I took them in for an exchange and the store clerk told me "I'm sorry, I can't see anything". I don't care if you can't see it, I can see it, my fiancee can see it, and I'm embarrassed to wear them out in public. I showed her a photo that I had originally emailed to them (but they did not respond, which is why I went to the store), she said she agreed that the defect is visible in the photo, but said that in person "they look totally different". The fibres are long and visible in the store lighting, they just aren't as easy to see (if she couldn't see it, why did she keep brushing the spot where they are visible?). She insisted she is not authorized to return or exchange for a defect she "cannot see". Plus, she said it would not be possible to order a new pair for the exchange. I would rather have this pair than no boots at all, but I have to say I won't shop here again, simply due to their horrendous exchange policy.

  After wearing my shoes inside I felt as though they were not fitting properly. I was told to bring them in on Thursday and speak to a manager. I went in knowing a return might not be possible, but maybe they had suggestions or could do something. Unfortunatley I was quickly directed to a paper taped on the other side of the counter from where I paid two days before. I was also told that no one would buy them as I left a foot print in one and it was significant... I had them for 2 days. I was given no other option.

  I had amazing service from a young lady who was so knowledgeable & helpful. She worked very hard at helping me to find a nice pair of shoes for my deformed feet. I will shop here again & highly recommend it.

  I made the mistake of thinking this store was similar to River Valley, where they suggest you take them home and wear them inside for a few days because "you can't possibly know for sure they will work in 2.5 Seconds" (sales associate at river valley).

  I feel as though the staff could use some sensitivity training. Not everyone who walks in the store is there for a regular pair of shoes. I needed shoes that helped me walk pain free for the first time in 3 years (p.s. I am in my late 20s).

  I made the choice to try this store because they had a nicer colour. I will never be back and am grateful to the sales associate at River Valley Footwear for talking to me after this experience and made suggestions on how to make changes to the shoe buckles etc.
