  Called upon McKinnon Plumbing many times over the past several years and got nothing but very prompt and professional service ... repairs, installation, advice ... you name it. Whether its Mr. MacKinnon or the technicians, every experience was good. Our family certainly would recommend McKinnon Plumbing.

  They made an appointment during my lunch break when I could get home to come see the work. They were an hour late and I had to reschedule because I had to get back to work. Same thing happened A SECOND TIME. They made the third appointment and kept it.

  We had a leak in the basement and called MacKinnon that evening. Two good lads came in the next day at 8:30, fixed it up and were out by 10:30. They were friendly and quick to get things sorted. One recommendation for the future would be to clean up after themselves. This is winter, they just walk through the house with their dirty boots on, pick up their things and walk out. Leave the place as you found it is a professional courtesy any customer has the right to expect.

  We had the same experience as others here. We were given a quote and told it wouldn't be a problem, but the guys they sent didn't seem very seasoned at all and didn't seem to know what they were doing - one was quite whiney about the job. It took them ages, and sometimes they just got fed up and left, and we wouldn't see them for a few days. They didn't always show up as planned. In the end, our faucet is slightly crooked, our new toilet moved (!) and had to be re-done by our contractor, and the shower leaked and had to be re-caulked also by our contractor. And they wanted to charge us extra $ (however, they did agree to change the invoice back to the quote amount).

  I got the piece two weeks ago and call them to arrange a time to come by. I left 2 contact numbers and an email address. Five days later, I still hadn't heard from them. I called again. They said they would call me back. They didn't contact me for 2 days and out of the blue in the middle of the work day they said they could come by right away but I needed to come unlock my door. I do not have the liberty of dropping everything and leaving work in the middle of the day. They then made an appointment for Thursday morning and told me to leave my back door open. I came home at the end of the day and they hadn't even showed up, or even given me a courtesy call to tell me why. I called THEM and made yet another appointment for this morning. He installed the sink and I came home at lunchtime to see that everything was going well, asking him if he needed anything as I would not be reachable for the afternoon as I was doing the Terry Fox Run. After the run, I looked at my phone and saw that I had 2 missed calls from the plumber. I called him back and he said that he hadn't installed the toilet because he needed clarification on something. This is AFTER I had already asked him if he needed anything. Now I am waiting another 3 days (at least; he still needs to confirm if he can even come in on Monday) before I can get the toilet installed.

  Do not hire this plumbing company. It has been a long nightmare trying to work with these guys.
